NZGAP covers a range of market and regulatory requirements

NZGAP certification greatly reduces the complexity and cost of legislative and market requirements for growers. The NZGAP programme is owned by Horticulture New Zealand on behalf of New Zealand growers. NZGAP is benchmarked to GLOBALG.A.P, affording it international recognition. GLOBALG.A.P. is a farm assurance standard accepted by retailers worldwide.

To gain and maintain market access, growers must now be able to demonstrate a commitment to food safety, environmental and quality assurance issues. New Zealand GAP allows you to do that. NZGAP enables you to comply with New Zealand regulations that are not covered in market standards. This can include regional council requirements on environmental issues and helping in the consenting process for the right to grow.
